My rating: 3 of 5 stars
A book that makes you more aware of the crisis and pandemic we are now facing and at the same time transportating you to a love story that makes you swoon.
Cameron does not get along with Elijah–who is her brother’s best friend–from the time they were teenagers. They constantly bickered and although they were still apart of each other’s lives, they hardly spent time together but that was about to change. Now they are going to be stuck together–isolated–at Cami’s family’s cabin for the foreseeable future. They world is going through something devastating and it’s getting worse so they cabin was there destination but they had no clue that the other person was going to be there. It was touch and go for them at first. They still bickered and picked on each other but old feelings–long buried–resurfaced making it harder to hold onto old resentment. They started spending most of their time together but the sexual tension was rising and clothes started coming off.
Cami and Eli both had insecurities that they had to work through. Having each other to depend on was eye opening for them. Cami learnt how to do normal everyday tasks that did not go with her heiress lifestyle with the help of Eli. It was quite funny the amount of times she managed to butcher her tasks but she was resilient and figured it out in the end. Eli’s devotion to Cami was oh so swoony and their sexy times were incredibly hot. Being stuck together inside for so long will provide for a lot chances for clothes to disappear. They were in their bubble but they were still constantly afraid and anxious of what was going on. But rhey had hope and that is truly what we all need to have at the moment. We might not be as lucky as Cami to be shackled up with a hunkilicious Eli but we are all staying safe and hopefully healthy.
